Voci di quartiere
Art direction: Giusti Eventi
Year: 2025
A map can help you find your way around a city, but it can also help you imagine its future.
This is the aim of Voci di Quartiere, a project by Urban Lab that showcases the real life of Turin's diverse neighbourhoods and explores the city's future.

Creative approach
The area I have been assigned to is green and residential, which makes it ideal for families. However, there are few places to meet or hold evening events.
As well as landmarks, I have depicted features that define the area's identity with a touch of irony, such as 'sleeping' buildings, trees, and people taking action to effect change — from individuals who choose to cycle to work every day, to young people who meet on benches to plan community centre activities.

Focus on people
The map is organised visually to highlight information and group thematic areas, making use of text, colours, and different viewpoints.
However, the most important thing of all is the people and the stories they live by and recount every day.

The map
Ten illustrators were involved in the project, depicting the city's 34 neighbourhoods through maps that give a voice to the people who live there.
These maps are a contribution to the new urban development plan and will help shape the future of Turin.
